Newman, Kaye (2017) London lost and found. Design Exchange Magazine.

Abstract

The article reflects on the studio project of 2016-2017, set in Lower Marsh, Waterloo. It looks at London's lost buildings and how developers and architects are quick to gentrify areas that have been neglected using pre-design plans that slot into a street as a part reference to a historical model disregarding the correct historical references. The old eclectic collections of architecture, businesses and their connection to the community are eradicated, tidied up and identities are lost.
