Study of attic room daylighting

Mohelniková, Jitka and Brotas, Luisa (2013) Study of attic room daylighting. In: SOLARIS 2013 6th International Conference On Solar Radiation and Daylighting, 16-17 May 2013, Granada, Spain.

Abstract

A practical evaluation of daylighting in a living room of residential building is presented in the paper. The attic room is illuminated due to a French window which is not sufficient for the room visual comfort. For this reason additional roof windows serve for more convenient daylight conditions. Three design variations were compared for the optimal room and window design. The daylight simulation variations were evaluated in software WDLS for the CIE overcast sky condition.
