Abstract / Description
London Metropolitan University's Equality and Diversity Policy (2004) has particular relevance on information courses. It is not purposed here to look at the whole policy, but only at Sections 5.11 which requires teaching staff to promote equality and diversity through their teaching programmes; to ensure the curriculum covers the knowledge, skills and values which students need to tackle discrimination; and to ensure that materials used to deliver the curriculum are free from sexist, racist and other discriminatory assumptions, images and languages.
