Abstract / Description

This paper adopts Yosso’s (2005) outline of community cultural wealth as it explores an innovative approach to curriculum delivery. The aims are therefore twofold. Firstly, to discuss critical race theory (CRT) and the cultural capital that students bring to the institution of higher learning and secondly, the empowerment gained by students through innovative practice with respect to acknowledging their linguistic capital.
