Abstract / Description

This article describes the work of the UK Parliament’s Joint Committee on Human Rights (JCHR). Following the coming into force of the Human Rights Act 1998 (HRA) in the UK in 2000, the UK Parliament appointed a joint committee of both Houses of Parliament to scrutinise the Government and the state of human rights in the UK.
