Abstract / Description

This edited volume addresses the severe security and governance crisis in Mexico and outlines some proposals for solutions. In the book, several affiliates of the Center for Studies on Security, Intelligence and Governance (CESIG) of the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) share their knowledge in the field and propose solutions to the problems impacting the daily life of Mexicans.

In "Gobernanza sobre la violencia contra las mujeres en la frontera necropolítica: el caso de Ciudad Juárez", María E. López provides advances of her research on the violence impacting poor women in the border city. She contributes the concepts, methodologies and public policy proposals that can improve the security and governance in the city.
