Abstract / Description
This essay looks at notions of spectacle and the postspectacular. The spectator is located in such spectacle as both always non-passive and always knowingly immersed as a form of 'parergon' or 'be-side'. Techne is argued for as a universal pre-disposition of the body-embodied mind expressed culturally. The role of 'necessary prejudice' is examined as a dynamic pre-disposition in any processual dramaturgy of re-cycling.
