Abstract / Description

A SPICE macromodel is described which may be added to any operational amplifier macromodel to simulate variations in power supply current with load current. This allows modelling of circuits using supply-current sensing and examination of the effects of power supply transients. Performance is illustrated by modelling a precision full-wave rectifier using the mu A741 operational amplifier.
