Abstract / Description

This chapter follows the career of Alain Delon - and in particular it explores the pairing of Delon and Jean Gabin in the popular heist films Mélodie en sous-sol (1963) and Le Clan des Siciliens (1969), both directed by Henri Verneuil, one of the most successful French auteurs of postwar cinema.
