Abstract / Description

This book explores the legal and conceptual framework for corporate social responsibility. Using the Chad-Cameroon oil pipeline as a case-study, the book examines the difficulties of regulating multinational corporations operating in developing countries, in particular in the extractive industry, to ensure that they operate in a socially responsible manner.
