Abstract / Description

This essay examines African-American dance and song act the Nicholas Brothers, considering the impact of performance style and film form on their ability to disrupt generic limitations on their performance in the Hollywood musical. The essay is a bilingual publication as part of the funded international research project Musical MC2.
