Banners are hung over the barriers reading 'London Irish Women's Centre', Róisín McAliskey: innocent, no deportation' and 'Fuascailt: free all Irish political prisoners'. Some of the protesters are identified from handwritten notes below the picture as (left to right): Geraldine Hickey (LIWC), Angie Birtill, Oliver de Bruin, Laoise de Paor and Danny. Photograph by Sass Tuffin, copyright Sass Tuffin.
Note: Róisín McAliskey was accused in 1996 of involvement in an act of terrorism claimed by the Provisional IRA and detained for 18 months without being charged.
